Earlier we saw Redmi announcing the much-awaited mid-range smartphone with Redmi Note 8 series in China. Now the company is planning to launch a budget smartphone with Redmi 8A or Redmi 8 soon in China.
Yes, Xiaomi CEO has just leaked the key specs of the upcoming budget phone the Redmi 8 or 8A. As per the Weibo post, the alleged Redmi 8/8A will arrive with HD+ display and will have a fingerprint scanner. The device comes with a new processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
Further, the post also reveals the Redmi 8/8A will pack larger 5000 mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. Further, the new Redmi 8/8A will be launched at a starting price of 899 Yuan (Rs.9100/-) in China. Sadly, we are still not sure about the exact launch date.
Further, Xiaomi India website has accidentally listed the newly launched Redmi Note 8 under the RF Exposure section. So this hints us that Redmi Note 8 will soon land in India which almost neglect the Redmi GM comment of not launching in India anytime soon.
