Samsung is now pushing the major Android 8.1 update to few of its mid-range smartphones. Earlier we had got the roadmap of the list of Samsung smartphone eligible for Android 8.1 update. Today Samsung has already started pushing the Android 8.1 OTA update to Samsung Galaxy J7 Core & Samsung Galaxy J7 NXT.
Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) becomes the first mid-range smartphone from Samsung to receive two major Android updates which were initially launched with Android 6.0. An earlier report suggests the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) is scheduled to receive the Android 8.0 later next year but the new leak confirms that the device along with Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) will get by December 21.
Apart from that, the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016), Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro, Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) & Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) will receive the Android Oreo update in the month of October. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Active by November.
Samsung has now already started pushing the Android Oreo update to Samsung Galaxy J7 Core & Galaxy J7 NXT in some parts of Asia. The OTA update is now available in Philippines, Cambodia, and Thailand will be made available to other countries in coming weeks.
