Earlier we had a few rumors about the Samsung devices Android Oreo update being delayed. Today, we have another leak which claims that few devices will receive the Android Oreo update not earlier than next year.
As per Official roadmap shared by Samsung on Samsung Members Mobile app, Samsung is only updating the new Samsung Galaxy J7 Neo by December 2018. All other devices will receive the Android Oreo update not earlier than 2019.
The devices which will receive the Android Oreo update by Jan 2019 are Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2017), Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017), Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro & Galaxy C9 Pro, Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2016), Samsung Galaxy On 7 (2016), Galaxy On 7 (2018), Galaxy On 5 (2017) and Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017).
Samsung Galaxy J7 Max in Feb 2019 and Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) in March 2019. So with Google launching the Android 9 Pie earlier this week and Samsung is providing the outdated version of Android later next year, we can expect Samsung may not provide the Android 9 Pie update not earlier than the end of 2019.
