Sony is all set to launch the new flagship for the second half of 2020 with the new Sony Xperia 5 II. Previously we saw various leaks revealing the first look of the next flagship Sony Xperia 5 II along with some of the key specs. Now we finally have the launch date officially revealed by Sony.
As per the source, Sony has now started sending out media invites for its next smartphone launch. The invite doesn’t specify the name of the phone launching but we expect it could be the Sony Xperia 5 II. The new Xperia product announcement will be held on Sept 17 at 9:00 CEST via YouTube.
As per previous leaks, the Sony Xperia 5 II will get hardly any changes when compared with the predecessor. The new Sony Xperia 5 II will sport 21:9 aspect ratio FHD+ OLED panel probably of 6.1 inches. The new Sony Xperia 5 II might use the SD865 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM. Apart from this Sony might even introduce the Global version of Xperia 8 Lite and some Compact series smartphones.
