Sony is back into the news after launching the all-new Sony Xperia 1 II and 10 II we now have the successor to the compact flagship Xperia 5 with Sony Xperia 5 II in works. As per the source, the new Sony Xperia 5 II might become the smallest phone to feature 5G support.

The new Sony Xperia 5 II will now sport 5.6 to 5.8 inches OLED display which makes the device compact. There are strong rumours about the new Sony Xperia 5 II will also feature 5G support similar to Xperia 1 II. Further, the new Sony Xperia 5 IIĀ  will be priced between the Sony Xperia 1 II and Xperia 10 II.

Sony Xperia 1 II

The Sony Xperia 5 II will be a premium mid-range smartphone from Sony. Previously we got various leaks about the new Xperia 9 which was powered by SD765G but never saw the light of the day. Now the latest rumours confirm that Sony Xperia 5 II might be using the outdated SD855 SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM. Apart from this nothing much about the new Sony Xperia 5 II is known.

We can expect the Sony Xperia 5 II might go official at IFA Berlin if all goes well or will be launching sometime in Aug/Sept this year as the predecessor too launched at the same time.
