Earlier we had got few live images showing the alleged ROG Phone 2 which features regular 18:9 aspect ratio display with 120Hz refresh rates. Asus also officially confirmed that the ROG Phone 2 will be the first device to ship with latest SD855+ SoC.
Now we finally spotted the new ROG Phone 2 on TENAA. As per the listing, the device comes with model number ASUS_I001DA, I001DB, I00DC and I00DD. The device measures 9.78 mm thick and comes with slight design changes when compared to the predecessor. It weighs around 240 grams.
The new Asus ROG Phone 2 sports 6.59 inches FHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and will come with 120 Hz refresh rates. It comes with almost slimmer bezels and arrives with dual stereo speakers. On the back, there are dual rear cameras with LED flash and lack of rear-mounted fingerprint scanner which might opt for in-display one.
The Asus ROG Phone 2 will be powered by SD855+ SoC coupled with 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/512GB/1TB storage options. It features 48MP primary rear camera and no details about the secondary sensor. The Asus ROG Phone 2 comes with 24MP selfie shooter.
The Asus ROG Phone 2 comes with mammoth 5800 mAh battery for non-stop gaming and might feature 30W fast charging support. The new Asus ROG Phone 2 runs on Android 9 Pie and is scheduled to launch on July 23.
