Google is busy working on the next iteration of Android which is rumored to be called the Android Q. Earlier XDA Developers leaked the alleged Android Q features which include the system-wide Dark mode which helps one to save the battery life.
Now new commit files in the Android Q project which include the new title Carrier restriction enhancements for Android Q. The new feature will give some powers to Carriers to lock down the control over the devices which run on their networks. So Carrier has all right to block the phone SIM from connecting to MVNO which uses the same network.
The MVNO is nothing but wireless provider which doesn’t allow subscribers to connect to the tower which they used to provide service. Next feature in Android Q will now make devices with Dual SIM to force the user to insert the carrier SIM card to SIM Slot 1 and the other carrier SIM card into the slot 2.
So if you are using Jio SIM on SIM card 1 and Airtel on SIM card 2 and if you change it later then Jio will force you to insert the SIM card on the first SIM slot.
