Google is all set to bring the new version of Android later this year which is touted as the Android Q. Now XDA Developers has managed to get their hands-on to the early build of the new Android Q which has revealed the new features of the OS.
As per the source, the new Android Q early build comes with latest Feb 2019 security patch along with updated AOSP internal master. The new ROM was installed on the Google Pixel 3 which has now revealed some of the features of the new Android Q. The new Android Q will bring the much-awaited System-wide Dark mode feature which was previously found on Chromium Gerrit. One can enable it under the Display setting by clicking on the Set Dark mode. The Dark theme can be further customized based on timings or forever.
Once Dark Mode has activated it turns all the basic apps background to gray in color including third-party apps as it comes with override force-dark. Further, Android Q will also come with new Permission Revamp. Now Android Q brings the much-needed feature with major changes under System Permission which allows restricting certain permissions like location only while the app is in use. One can change the permission assigned by just tapping on the app under Privacy settings.
Android Q will also bring the Samsung DeX like feature as it comes with Forced Desktop Mode that allows one to use their smartphone with secondary displays. Further, the Android Q will also have new Game Update Package Preferences which requires Graphic drivers and we are still not sure about this feature.
Now one can record the screen by long pressing on the screenshot button whereas the screenshot button can be accessed by long pressing the power key. Further, there are two new options added on the Accessibility page with Time to take action and Time to read.
The new Time to take action one can set the time how long to show the message to take action and the other will set the time to read the notification or message. Further, the built-in file manages can now filter by images, documents, audio, video, etc.
