Earlier we had few rumors about Xiaomi planning to introduce the Mi 8 along with Mi 8SE in India. Today, XDA developers have got new info for the upcoming flagship from Xiaomi specifically Made for India.
As per the source, the upcoming flagship from Xiaomi is codenamed as Beryllium which is not the recently launched Mi 8 and was found from firmware files in the month of March. XDA further mentions that they are still not sure whether the device will have the same specs as per previous leaks but gave info that the device is still running on MIUI 10 Global Beta.
As per XDA, the Xiaomi Beryllium will be powered by SD845 SoC and will sport 18:9 aspect ratio LCD display with a notch. The device will have NFC support and will not have microSD card support. It will be fueled with larger 4000 mAh battery and will feature a Dual rear camera with optical zoom along with rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The device is running on Android 8.1 out of the box.
XDA developers also found the “isIndiaBeautyFilter” under the default camera app and might be the recently trademarked sub-brand PocoPhone.
