Finally, we have the latest flagship smartphone from Asus with Asus Zenfone 5Z hitting Indian shores which were launched in MWC 2018. The new Asus Zenfone 5Z will come in Midnight Blue and Meteor Silver colors. The Asus Zenfone 5Z is priced at Rs.29,999 for base 6GB RAM & 128GB storage, Rs.32999/- for 6GB+128GB and Rs.36,999 for 8GB+128GB variant and will go on sale from July 9 and will be exclusive to Flipkart.
The launch offer includes Flat Rs.3000/- off on ICICI bank debit/credit card users, No cost EMI, Flipkart Mobile protection for just Rs.499/- and Ra.2000/- cashback for Reliance Jio users with additional 100GB 4G data (10GB extra data per month).
The new Asus Zenfone 5Z looks like iPhone X from the front with notch size is much smaller than the iPhone X and has a similar design to the Asus Zenfone 5.
The new Asus Zenfone 5Z is made out of metal and glass and weighs lighter with just 155 grams. It is also super thin with just 7.7 mm thick. The new Asus Zenfone 5Z sports 90% screen to body ratio with 6.2 inches FHD+ Super IPS AI display with an aspect ratio of 19:9 covered with 2.5D curved Glass and Corning Gorilla Glass for protection. It also comes with Gloves mode and has got 500 nits brightness with 95.4% NTSC Colour Gamut. The display uses AI to increase or reduce the brightness automatically based on background.
The Asus Zenfone 5Z is powered by SD845 SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB storage option which can be expanded via microSD card up to 2TB.
The Asus Zenfone 5Z features a same Dual rear camera and selfie camera as the Asus Zenfone 5. The device comes with the 12MP primary camera using Sony IMX363 Sensor with an aperture of f/1.8, a pixel size of 1.4 microns, 0.03s Tri-Tech AF, Dual Pixel PDAF, 4-Axis-OIS/EIS, with a secondary 8MP camera using OmniVision OV8856 sensor with an aperture of f/2.0, 120 degrees wide-angle lens coupled with dual tone Dual LED flash.
There is 8MP selfie camera using OmniVision OV8856 sensor with an aperture of f/2.0, 83 degrees wide-angle lens. It also comes with iPhone X like Animoji feature called ZeniMoji.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and Dual VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, GLONASS, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, 3.5 mm Audio port and FM Radio.
