Meizu is all set to announce another new series with 16 series anytime soon in China. Earlier Meizu had launched few flagship devices with Meizu 15 which rather disappointed with standard 18:9 display and thicker bezels. Now we have a successor to the Meizu 15 with Meizu 16 which is rumored to be launching soon in China.
As per the renders, we can see the new Meizu 16 Plus have a new design with thinner bezels on the sides and slightly thicker bezels over the top which carry the earpiece, sensor and selfie camera. The Meizu 16 Plus features curved edges and looks gorgeous in White color.
On the back, we have Dual rear-cameras which are aligned vertically along with Circular LED flash which we already saw on Meizu 15 series. On the left, we have the Volume rockers and on the right, we might find the power key which doubles up as fingerprint scanner as we saw in previous Meizu devices.
We also got the live images showing the Meizu 16 which is trim down version of Meizu 16 Plus and comes with traditional 18:9 aspect ratio display along with thicker bezels. Sadly there are no images showing the rear of the device.
Apart from that we also got the pricing details along of the upcoming Meizu 16 & Meizu 16 Plus leaked. As per the source, the upcoming Meizu 16 will be powered by SD710 SoC and will come in two variants with 6GB RAM & 128GB storage which is priced at 3398 Yuan (Rs.36,000/-) and other with 8GB RAM & 256GB storage which will cost 3598 Yuan (Rs.38,000/-).
The Meizu 16 Plus will be powered by SD845 SoC and will have three variants with 6GB+128GB priced at 3598 Yuan (Rs.38,000/-), 8GB+128GB at 3798 Yuan (Rs.40,200/-) & 8GB+256GB at 4288 Yuan (Rs.45,400/-). Sounds like both the devices will be premium smartphones from Meizu and are priced comparatively higher than the Xiaomi Mi 8SE & Mi 8 which to come with similar specs.
