Micromax has now confirmed that they are going to launch their first Android Go smartphone called the Micromax Bharat Go in India later this month.
As of now, there are no details regarding the specs for the Micromax Bharat Go but it is rumoured to be priced around Rs.2000/-.The Micromax Bharat Go is rumoured to be launched at Indian Republic Day on Jan 26.
Google had launched the Android Go Oreo Edition last month in India which is the dedicated OS for low-specs devices with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage.The Android Go OS is compatible with both Qualcomm and MediaTek SoC.
The Android Go OS will come with lighter apps like Google Maps Go, Google Assistant Go, YouTube Go, Gmail Go etc. so that the device doesn’t hang and users get smooth user experience without any lags.
There are also rumours of Nokia launching their first Android Go OS running smartphone with Nokia 1 which is scheduled to be launched at MWC next month.
