Google unveiled the Android Go OS in May 2017 at Google I/O and today Google has launched their Android Oreo version for Android Go devices called the Google Android Oreo Go Edition and is now available for all manufacturers and app developers.
Android Go OS is an operating system designed to run low-end or budget smartphones having 512MB or 1GB RAM.So with that, we can expect some new Android smartphones under budget segment to come pre-loaded with the new Android Oreo Go edition.
As per Google, the Android Go Editon will be able to perform 30% faster startup time, and will also take less storage space.Android Go will open apps 15% faster than all other budget devices.The Android Ore Go edition will come bundled with Go Apps or lighter version of original apps.The Go Editon Apps include Google Go, YouTube Go, Google Assistant Go, Google Files Go, Gmail Go, GMaps Go, GBoard, Playstore Go, and Chrome.Android Oreo Go Edition will come with 11 Indian languages support and also comes with Neural Machine translation for 11 Indian languages.
There are no major changes in the Android Oreo Go Os when compared with original Android Oreo OS. The Google Android Oreo Go edition will be available globally starting from tomorrow and we might see some devices shipping with Android Oreo Go edition early 2018.
