As Xiaomi introduced the Civi 4 Pro in March 2024, we can expect its successor to be released in the first quarter of 2025 as well.

Apple’s upcoming affordable iPhone aka iPhone SE 4 might be branded as iPhone 16e.

The iPhone SE 4 is rumoured to be released in March 2025. The SE model will follow up on the previous generation from 2022. Apple’s 5G modem is also said to be used in the 4th generation SE. With the latest development, the iPhone’s naming may change.

With a mid-range price tag despite having the same performance capabilities as the standard variants, the iPhone SE line is the brand’s entry-level offering.

According to Weibo tipster ‘Fixed focus digital’, Apple may drop the SE branding. It will rename the upcoming model iPhone 16e instead. Apple released three SE-branded phones between 2016 and 2022, starting with the original iPhone SE in 2016.

It will join the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max as the fifth model in the lineup. According to the tipster, the iPhone 16e will have the same screen size and full-screen design as the standard iPhone 16.

Specs:

The tipster, claims that the iPhone SE 4 will have a 6.06-inch OLED panel. The SE will feature a notch for Face ID and the front camera system, unlike Apple’s iPhone 16. It will run at 60 Hz.

A18 chip powering the device will be the same as in the base & Plus models of the iPhone 16, along with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Apple Intelligence appears to be able to run on the phone with double the RAM from the outgoing model.

The iPhone SE 4 will debut Apple’s first internal modem, which has the codename Centauri and will be manufactured by TSMC. There will be only one camera on the new iPhone SE 4, but the sensor will be upgraded from 12MP to 48MP. There will be a 12MP camera on the front.

It is reported that the phone will come with a 3,279mAh battery, a significant upgrade over the current model’s 2,018mAh. With the screen size reportedly growing to 6.06 inches, the phone will have plenty of room for a larger battery. Unlike its predecessor, the phone will also support MagSafe accessories in addition to 20W wired charging.

According to the leak, the starting price will either be $499 or $549, but the magnitude of the increase is unknown.

Alleged Redmi Turbo 4 aka POCO F7 render leaked online features dual cameras.

Redmi’s performance-focused phone, the Turbo 4, has been delayed from its December launch. Although we may have to wait a bit longer, an image circulating on Weibo claims to reveal the phone’s design.

According to the image, the Turbo 4 has slim screen bezels, squared edges, and dual rear cameras. There is also a small punch-hole cutout for the front camera.  On closer inspection, isn’t it similar to the Samsung Galaxy S24? The wallpaper looks similar as well. The leak came from a non-reliable source, so its accuracy is uncertain. Be cautious when relying on this information.

It is reported that “Little Tornado” is the codename for the Redmi Turbo series, which suggests that the Redmi Turbo 4 will be officially unveiled this month. It will be the world’s first phone to use the Dimensity 8400 chip.

Based on TSMC’s 4nm process, the D8400 features a Cortex-A725 large-core architecture and a clock speed of more than 3GHz. The GPU IP is the same as that of the Dimensity 9400, namely Immortalis-G925 MC12. AnTuTu benchmark scores for the Dimensity 8400 surpass the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile chipset by over 1.7 million points.

Redmi Turbo 4 will feature a flat OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution, according to reports. This device may support 90W fast charging, according to its 3C certification. The device is likely to cost between 1,500 Yuan (~$205) and 2,000 Yuan (~$275).

Vivo may launch another compact flagship next year likely to be Vivo X200s Pro mini, key specs leaked.

Next year, Vivo will launch a compact midrange smartphone with a powerful Dimensity 9 series chip, a 6-inch display, and impressive camera capabilities. Digital Chat Station posted the news on Weibo. According to rumors, this model is part of Vivo’s S series, which is known for balancing style and performance. It’s a move aimed at users who like compact phones.

As described by DCS, the phone will feature an 8T LTPO screen with a 1.5K resolution. It will translate to nearly 460ppi pixel density, which can provide crisp and clear visuals.

In terms of cameras, the device will likely be equipped with a 50-megapixel main sensor at the bottom with a large size. The camera will also be equipped with a telephoto lens, so users will have greater flexibility in their photography. It will also feature a new silicon anode battery, which will ensure a large capacity despite its small size.

Vivo’s upcoming phone shares several key specifications with the recently launched Vivo X200 Pro Mini, which gained attention for its compact size and high-end features. According to the tip, the new phone could launch between April and June next year. Vivo continues to expand its product offerings, and this compact model may fill a gap in the mid-range segment with its performance, design, and battery life.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 will be a lot slimmer than its predecessor, details leaked.

According to reports, Samsung is exploring ways to slim down the Galaxy Z Fold7, which was the case with the recently released Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. The company hopes to accomplish this goal by removing the traditional digitizer, which allows pen input.

Several industry sources say Samsung Electronics is considering pen input technology for the Galaxy Z Fold7 that will launch in 2025 without a digitizer. This move fits Samsung’s strategy to make foldable phones thinner, which is becoming increasingly important in the foldable smartphone market.

Samsung’s Galaxy Fold lineup includes a digitizer for electromagnetic resonance (EMR) technology since the Galaxy Z Fold3. An electric field is created on the display panel, allowing pen input to be accurate and battery-free. Due to this technology, however, the device’s thickness increases, forcing trade-offs between pen input and slimness.

Samsung is researching an active electrostatic (AES) technology similar to Apple’s. AES, however, shifts the technology from the display to the pen itself, which contains an electronic component and a battery. As with the Apple Pencil, this makes the pen thicker and requires charging but allows the phone body to be thinner.

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy F06 images along with key specs leaked comes with new design

The Galaxy F06 is Samsung’s new low-end smartphone. Several renders have leaked today showing its five colors: orange, dark green, black, blue, and purple. There is no doubt Samsung will come up with some more appealing names for all of these colorways, but we aren’t aware of them yet.

The Galaxy F series always consists of rebranded devices, and this one appears to be a rebranded Galaxy A06 from August. There has been a change to the design of the back camera, as the A06 now has two independent cameras sharing an oval-shaped island.

As with the recently leaked Galaxy A36, Samsung’s F06’s camera setup looks similar. It appears that the company will only allow its flagships to have individual camera islands, while the mid-range and low-end have to combine them. In 2025, Samsung will use this new design throughout its budget and mid-range lines.

Galaxy F06:

The new Galaxy F06 sports a 6.7-inch HD+ Infinity-V PLS LCD display. It also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass on top. The new Galaxy F06 is powered by a Helio G85 SoC 2.0 GHz Octa-Core processor coupled with 4GB RAM & 64GB/128GB internal storage.

On the back, the Galaxy F06 features dual rear cameras with a 50MP main sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 and a  2MP depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 and LED flash. There is an 8MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.2.

All this is packed with a larger 5000 mAh battery and 25W fast charging support. The new Galaxy F06 runs on Android 14 with One UI 6.1 Core on top. The device also has a 3.5 mm jack, USB Type-C port, FM Radio, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, and GLONASS, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. According to the company, the A06 will receive two major Android updates, so it will reach Android 16.

Alleged Samsung Galaxy S25+ live images leaked online comes with minor design changes.

Samsung Galaxy S25+ renders that are circulating online may have omitted an important change next year – a large, slightly recessed area that looks suspiciously like the camera control button on the new iPhones. The answer is simpler, however.

The “SM-S936U” indicates this is a US model (e.g., the SM-S926U is the US S24+), so it should have an antenna for the faster 5G variant. The antennas look similar to this, just below the side buttons.

The rest has remained the same. We haven’t even seen the chunky rings around the camera lenses that we saw on the S25 Ultra. As for the cameras, all the rumors so far indicate that the vanilla models will not receive any upgrades. The Galaxy S25 series is expected to be unveiled in January, according to Samsung’s usual schedule.
