SharkID crosses 1 Lakh Downloads, Aims to enrich user experience

SharkID, the Smart Phonebook app, today achieved 1 lakh downloads; with their network database zooming past 1,75 cr. A bootstrapped StartUp with a capital investment of $ 2 million, SharkID is a joint venture between e-Procurement Technologies and Silver Touch Technologies, founded by Mr Ramesh Sinha, a technocrat and serial entrepreneur.

SharkID is a smart phonebook app backed by a highly scalable Service-oriented architecture with full stack technology, SharkID deploys a Big data Database Mongo and Redis for storage and Encrypted streaming for data security.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Ramesh Sinha, Founder – SharkID, said, “Crossing a lakh download is a defining moment for SharkID. It reaffirms our core belief; that, given a best-of-breed, secure and smarter technology, User migration is inevitable. Every smartphone User will migrate to a smarter, easier and meshed experience if someone provides it. And that is precisely what we do. When 50,000 network connections get added every day and they zoom to 1.75 cr, it validates our belief many times over and is a testimony to our technical array expertise and user experience. SharkID stands committed to providing bleeding-edge technology support and a secure, user immersive experience”.

Elaborating further, he added “SharkID is geared to provide an immersive experience – based on your usage and communication pattern, our data analytics pack will smart-search for you and refer people with whom you can network. Added to this, you can also check your connects to the persons suggested, tightening the reference cycle and generating productive conversations”.

Currently, the company plans to deepen the user experience and expand the user pool across India to 10 million by March 2019

Huawei is on fire, with series of smartphone launched earlier last month and now we have some more Huawei flagship incoming with new Huawei P11 Lite.Now the new Huawei P11 Lite has spotted on Amazon Japan website with two tempered glass screen protectors and case.

As per leaks, we can see the Huawei P11 Lite is now having nearly no bezels at the front and is having a huge notch similar to iPhone X above the display.On the right side we have the Power button and on the left, we can find the alert slider with the Volume rocker as per screen protector renders whereas the Power and Volume keys are located on the right in the case renders.Above the display is having a notch which holds the earpiece, comes with four circular holes probably it might have rumoured FaceID rival with Dual selfie cameras as per screen protector renders whereas there is no notch on the case renders and comes with thick bezels on top.

At the back, we have the Dual camera setup which is aligned vertically with Dual LED flash above the camera module and fingerprint scanner below the camera module as per case renders and there is no rear view of the device in the screen protector renders.

As per listing on Amazon, the Huawei P11 Lite will come in two colours one with Gold colour with white bezels and other with Black with black bezels.As per above-leaked images, we can’t confirm that the Huawei P11 Lite will look similar to images leaked as it is just a mockups of the device.

Huawei will launch the Huawei P11 Lite in MWC Berlin which is held on Feb end next year.

Sony might unveil their first SD845 SoC powered smartphone in CES 2018

Sony is now busy sending the media invites for the upcoming CES 2018 event which is held in the US next week.Earlier we had series of leaks of many 2018 Sony Xperia mobiles like the Sony H8266 which is rumoured to be powered by the SD845 chip.

We now spotted the device on GeekBench which had 5.48 inches FHD display and is having 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage.It is fueled by 3210 mAh battery and is running on latest Android 8.1 out of the box.Which might make us think that Sony might unveil its flagship smartphone at CES but usually Sony launch their flagship devices at MWC Berlin.

Earlier leaks of Sony H8266 claimed that it will be powered by SD845 SoC which is coupled with 4GB RAM and is running on Android 8.0.We also had one more Sony device with Sony 8216 which is also having a Dual camera setup and has similar specs like the Sony H8266.Sony might launch the Sony 8216 as Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium and Sony 8266 as Sony Xperia XZ2.Sony is also rumoured to bring the new design with Mirai design with 2018 Sony Xperia devices.

Qualcomm SD670 SoC specs leaked, to have support for QHD displays.

Qualcomm is all set to launch the successor to recently launched mid-range chip SD660 SoC with new SD670 SoC as per industry insider Roland Quandt.Earlier we had some specs leaks of the prototype device which was powered by SD670 SoC.

As per leaks, the SD670 SoC will have support for WQHD displays but is built on WQXGA similar to its predecessors.The SD670 SoC will have support up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with latest eMMC 5.1 memory chips of minimum storage space of 64GB. With SD670 SoC will bring improved imaging capabilities.The SD670 is rumored to be built on the Samsung’s 10nm LPP process similar to SD835 SoC.

As per leaks, the testing device is having the rear camera of 22.6MP and selfie camera of 13MP but the chip can handle higher resolution cameras.SD670 SoC will have better performance than its predecessor and it will be Octa-core processor similar to SD660 with two high performing cores.There are no details regarding the GPU but it is rumoured to be using the Adreno 512 GPU.

Qualcomm might launch the next mid-range chip with SD670 early 2018 and we can expect many mid-range devices to be powered by the SD670 SoC.

As per latest rumors from China, Xiaomi is not interested in the optical fingerprint scanner and is showing interest on the recently launched iPhone X Face ID feature.As per reports, the Beijing based OEM is developing the 3D Facial recognition in partnership with Qualcomm, Himax Technologies and Truly Opto-Electronics.

As per rumors, Xiaomi Mi 7 3D facial recognition will be a hardware feature and is likely to feature on many other 2018 Xiaomi devices.The Xiaomi Mi 7 is rumored to sport 5.65 inches Samsung made AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 18:9.It will be powered by SD845 SoC coupled with 6GB RAM and will be running on Android 8.0 with MIUI 9.0 on top.It might also feature under display fingerprint scanner.The Xiaomi Mi 7 is rumored to be launched in April 2018 at China.

Oppo launched two new devices under mid-range segment with Oppo A75 and Oppo A75s in Taiwan. The Oppo A75 is priced at NTD10,990 (Rs.23,600/-) and Oppo A75s is priced at NTD11,990 (Rs.26,000/-). Both the devices will be available in two colors with Gold and Black.Both the devices are no available for purchase in Taiwan via the Oppo Online store.

Android P carriers can hide the signal strength

As per XDA Developers, some wireless carriers might hide the signal strength in next iteration of Android with Android P.In the US carrier has already started hiding the signal strength on any device running on Android P as per configuration file vendor.xml discovered by XDA developers.This feature is available across the Globe and will not be exclusive only to the US.

With this new feature, the user will not able to find the signal strength of the networks.In addition to this new feature will not change the API which helps app developers to share the signal strength via third-party apps.But, users will be able to find the signal strength in dBm under settings apps running on Android P.

The next iteration of Android with Android P or 9.0 will be announced in Google I/O in May 2018.The next version of Android P beta version will be available for end users starting from Aug 2018 similar to Android Oreo.

OnePlus 5 is now receiving the Android Oreo update with Oxygen OS 5.

OnePlus launched open beta tester for the Android Oreo update for OnePlus 5 last month and now we have the stable Android Oreo update being pushed via OTA to all OnePlus 5 starting from today.The new Android 8.0 comes with latest version of Oxygen OS 5.0 on top.

Carl Pei also confirmed that OnePlus 5 will also receive another update which will bring the Face Unlock feature found on OnePlus 5T.

OnePlus 5 Android 8.0 update with Oxygen OS 5.0 brings a lot of new features like Parallel Apps, updated Camera UI, fixed bugs on system launcher, better image quality, beauty effects on Portrait mode. It also brings the latest Android December Security patch too.
