Earlier we had news about Samsung Mobile division official visiting China to take a closer look with Chinese smartphone and also discussed with leading Chinese smartphone OEM Xiaomi, Huawei, Vivo etc. Today Samsung Mobile Division Head DJ Koh took some time to spend with Samsung fans in China where he has revealed some of the details for upcoming smartphones.
As per the event held in Wuhan, Samsung Mobile head DJ Koh confirmed the news that upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 9 S-Pen will come with a few new features along with related to gaming.
Few fans also asked whether the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner to which DJ Koh said that upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 will not feature optical fingerprint scanner instead will come with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and he further stated that even the 2019 Edition of Galaxy A series along with Samsung Galaxy Note 10 to have the same Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
The reason behind Samsung sticking to ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is that the currently available in-display fingerprint tech is not yet developed and is slow when compared with a traditional fingerprint scanner and offer bad user experience.
Anyway, there are many rumors about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 will arrive with an in-display fingerprint scanner and will have three models with three different screen sizes 5.8 inches, 6.1 inches, and larger 6.4 inches. Samsung Galaxy S10 release date is expected to arrive no earlier than MWC 2019.
