Sony has now announced the successor to the last year Sony Xperia XA Plus mid-range smartphone with Sony Xperia XA2 Plus. The new Sony Xperia XA2 Plus will come in Black, Silver, Gold, and Green colors and as of now, there are no details regarding pricing. The device will go on sale from August 2018.
The new Sony Xperia XA2 Plus is the first mid-range smartphone to come with an 18:9 aspect ratio display. The new Sony Xperia XA2 Plus is made out of metal and weighs around 205 grams. It is 9.6mm thick and looks similar to the previously launched Sony Xperia XA2 & Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra.
Sony Xperia XA2 Plus sports 6.0 inches FHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The new Sony Xperia XA2 Plus is powered by SD630 SoC coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM along with 32GB/64GB internal storage option which can be expanded via microSD card up to 400GB.
The new Sony Xperia XA2 Plus features a 23MP single rear camera with 1/2.3” Exmor RS sensor, Hybrid AF, 84° wide-angle f/2.0 lens and LED flash. It can shoot videos up to 4K along with 120fps Slow-mo videos. There is an 8MP 120° super wide-angle lens along with 1/4” Exmor R, and having an aperture of f/2.4.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, Dual Band Wifi, FM Radio, fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm audio port and USB Type-C port. The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus also features High-Resolution Audio, LDAC & DSEE HX.
All this is fueled by 3580 mAh battery along with QC 3.0 charging support and Qnovo™ Adaptive Charging. The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus is running on Android 8.0 out of the box.
