Huawei is all set to introduce the successor to last year launched Huawei Mate 10 series later this year. Earlier we also got few renders showing the upcoming Huawei Mate smartphone which is rumored to be called the Huawei Mate 20.
Today, Huawei has finally filed a new trademark with EU for the upcoming Mate series which will be called Huawei Mate 20. This confirms that the upcoming smartphone will be named as Huawei Mate 20 instead of Huawei Mate 11.
This is not the first time Huawei had jumped from 10 to 20 earlier we even saw the same happened with Huawei P10 series successor launched as Huawei P20 and the same is repeated with the Huawei Mate series now. Apart from number 20, the company also filed a trademark with EU for Huawei Mate 30,40,50,60,70,80 & 90 series.
So we can expect that 2019 flagship will be called as Huawei Mate 30 and so on till Huawei Mate 90. Earlier we also spotted the alleged Huawei Mate 20 powered by latest Kirin 980 SoC on Antutu Benchmarks which had got an impressive benchmark score.
