Xiaomi first Android One smartphone the Mi A1 which was touted to receive the much awaited Android Oreo update was halted earlier due to some bugs which made the device slow and caused some serious issues has now started pushing the stable Android 8.1 update to its users.
Xiaomi has started pushing the Android 8.1 update to Mi A1 which is a major update and weighs around 1.2GB in size. The new OTA update also brings June month security update. Initially, the OTA update is rolling out in India and Philippines and later it would be made available globally.
Anyway, the new update also brings us a surprise as it comes with a new bug which wipes off all the SMS history once applied so as a warning please make sure you take a back-up of everything before its too late.
