Micromax who was a market leader once upon a time has faced huge loss after the entry of Chinese companies like Xiaomi, Honor and many more. With dipping sales, Micromax has now announced a new smartphone with Micromax Canvas 2 Plus in India. The new Micromax Canvas 2 Plus will come in Matte Black and Jet Black colors. The new Micromax Canvas 2 Plus is priced at Rs.8999/- and will go on sale through leading offline retails stores across India.
The new Micromax Canvas 2 Plus comes with polycarbonate back shell with typical Micromax design and premium finish. It is just 8mm thick.
The new Micromax Canvas 2 Plus sports 5.7 inches 18:9 aspect ratio HD+ (720*1440p) Infinity screen covered with 2.5D curved glass on top. It is powered by the MediaTek processor clocked at 1.3 GHz coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be expanded via microSD card slot up to 64GB.
It features a single rear camera with 13MP having a pixel size of 1.12um, 80-degree FOV & LED flash. On the front, we have 8MP selfie shooter which doubles up as Face Unlock. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Wifi, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, GPS, micro USB Port, 3.5 mm audio port and FM Radio.
All this is fueled by a large 4000mAh battery and runs on outdated Android 7.0.
