Sony is going to launch new Xperia line-up with 6inhes display which will have an aspect ratio of 18:9 similar to LG G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8.Sony joint venture with Japan Display has already begun mass-production the 6 inches display in Japan.

The new 6 inches LCD display will have a resolution of 1080p by 2160 pixel with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and will be called as a Full Active display.These displays are manufactured using Pixel Eye tech which is JD’s proprietary solution designed to improve the responsiveness of the display when the hands are wet.It also helps in producing true blacks that are darker to those generally associated with LCD panels.The upcoming JD’s displays will be having extremely thin bezels as per the images leaked above.

JDI is a joint venture with Sony, Hitachi and Toshiba with the company operating as an autonomous entity since being founded in spring of 2012. Sony is going to launch two new flagship device by the end on 2017 and we might see the upcoming devices from Sony to be a feature with this new 6 inch displays.The one device might come with 18:9 aspect ratio and other with conventional 16:9 format.

As per some reports, Sony will not launch the above display anytime soon. But at the current market trends, Sony might launch the above display by end of 2017 to give tough competition to its competitors.
