Xiaomi is all set to launch the successor MI MIX 2 this year and as the days go on we will get some new leaks popping out. As per the above images, we can see the completely bezel-less design of the upcoming Mi Mix 2 and now there is cut out at the top of the display for a regular earpiece with front camera and some sensors.Earlier Mi Mix had a front camera and some sensors below the display and it even didn’t have regular earpiece rather it had a Piezoelectric speaker which had some issues with the receiver was unable to get clear sound when making a voice call.So that might be the reason behind putting a regular earpiece with Mi Mix 2.
From the leaked images we can even tell Mi Mix 2 design looks similar to Andy Rubin’s Essential PH-1.Xiaomi might include the onscreen navigation button similar to Mi Mix but now the bottom of the display doesn’t have bezel so we might expect to come with capacitive navigation buttons.On the right, there will be Volume up and down key with Power button.The SIM card tray is now placed on the left of the device.
At the back, we can see the new Dual camera setup which is aligned vertically this time.It also comes with Dual Tone Dual LED flash beside it.There is USB Type-C port between the speaker grill at the bottom of the device.It might not have 3.5 mm Audio jack as many of the Xiaomi devices this year didn’t have 3.5 mm audio jack.There is no fingerprint scanner visible on the images leaked so we can expect it to come with under display fingerprint scanner similar to Qualcomm’s implementation.
Xiaomi might launch the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 in Oct/Nov of this year.
