This year, Samsung is anticipated to expand its line of foldable devices. In addition to developing a “Fan Edition” of its flip-style phone, the business has hinted that a triple-screen gadget is imminent. The release of the Fold 7 and Flip 7 was thought to coincide with the Galaxy Z Flip FE’s debut, although that may not be the case.
The Bell reports that Samsung intends to release its triple-screen foldable and Galaxy Z Flip FE sometime in Q4 2025. Before this rumour, it was anticipated that Samsung’s summer Unpacked presentation would feature the unveiling of the low-cost flip-style phone alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Although a date has not yet been announced, it is anticipated that this Unpacked event will take place in July, as it did last year.
Although Samsung Display is set to begin producing screens for the Fold 7 and Flip 7 this month, the report does not explain why the launch has been postponed. It is likely that Samsung is initially putting more effort into producing panels for these devices before turning its attention to the FE gadget. The processor may be another factor contributing to the delay.
The Bell previously reported that the foldable might get an Exynos 2500 chip, a system-on-a-chip that Samsung has struggled to develop. Our own investigation, however, revealed evidence that the business might choose to use an Exynos 2400e chip—the same CPU that powers the Galaxy S24 FE. Plans regarding the chip to be used have not yet been finalised, according to the Bell report.
