After tweeting out the first official renders showing the notch on Tweeter by OnePlus Co-founder, Peter Lau has now posted a new post on Weibo in China which claims that OnePlus might skip the OnePlus 6 and will move with OnePlus 7 or 8.
Peter Lau posted a post in Chinese on the Official OnePlus account when translated we got the sentence “Equal to 7 or 8 equal to it” as per Google Translate.From this, we can expect that OnePlus might skip the OnePlus 6 similar to last year as they skipped the OnePlus 4 and launched OnePlus 5 and will repeat the same this year and might be renamed as OnePlus 7 or 8.
But as per Chinese tradition number 4 was unlucky so they skipped it and the number 6 is not termed as unlucky but still, this hint left us confused why OnePlus will skip the number 6 and move on to 7 or 8.
As per Evan Blas, the upcoming flagship killer will be launched in the month of June and there are rumors of OnePlus launching the device in the month of April which is earlier than expected.OnePlus 6 will sport FHD+ display carrying a notch and will be powered by SD845 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM.
