India’s home entertainment market is about to be shaken up by a new entry. Lumio is a smart TV brand introduced by Circuit House Technologies with the backing of Xiaomi and Flipkart. With innovative features and strong industry partnerships, the brand aims to fill gaps in the rapidly evolving smart TV segment.
With larger screens and advanced display technologies becoming mainstream, India’s smart TV market, valued at $5 billion, is shifting towards premiumization. Lumio reports that despite over 100 brands in the space, many consumers still use generic searches, suggesting a lack of brand loyalty. By providing a fresh perspective on smart TVs, Lumio plans to capitalize on this gap.
In addition to Lumio, Lumio’s team includes experienced professionals from Lenovo, Philips, Tivo, LG, and Samsung. Developing smart TVs designed for seamless experiences aims to eliminate common user frustrations.
In collaboration with Google TV, Lumio offers access to over 400,000 movies and shows across 10,000+ apps. As India’s leading electronics manufacturer, Dixon Technologies will ensure high-quality production, while Amazon India will handle distribution.
Indian consumers will be able to see the brand’s smart TV lineup in March 2025, which is expected to come with features tailored to their real needs. Indian brands are now proving they can lead in the home entertainment industry.
