On March 4, Nothing will introduce the Nothing Phone (3a) and the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro. Both phones will come equipped with a button designated explicitly for the camera. The fact that they explored adding a red dot to this button has not been disclosed earlier, and we now know how it will function.

According to the source, this button will be called Essential Key. This is because it will be used to activate Nothing’s bespoke artificial intelligence, which will be integrated into an application known as Essential Space. An “AI-powered hub” will be created to store digital material such as screenshots, voice notes, and photographs.

A screenshot may be taken by pressing and holding the Essential Key, a voice note can be recorded by pressing and holding the key for a lengthy period, and a double tap will allow you to retrieve the material saved in Essential Space quickly. If you want to take a picture using the native Camera app on your phone, you may press the Essential Key once.

The source says Essential Space is being developed, but it will still premiere on the Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro. A full-fledged version may be released later with the Nothing Phone (3).
