According to the tipster, Samsung is testing a new Flip-series prototype. The details he shared indicate that the device could be the Galaxy Z Flip FE, although he is unsure of the final name. Like its Galaxy Z Flip 6 counterpart, the prototype features ultrathin glass (UTG) and a hinge mechanism similar to the Galaxy Z Flip6.

The device also features a 6.7-inch 120Hz display, but tests suggest it can achieve 2600 nits of brightness at its brightest. It features a 50-megapixel primary camera, which offers better imaging capabilities than the Flip 6’s 12-megapixel sensor.

According to reports, Samsung is using an Exynos processor rather than the Snapdragon chip in its predecessor. The device promises durability, as well as an armour-alu aluminium frame and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Additionally, it supports Wi-Fi 6E and 25W charging. The water-resistant structure has not changed, and the speaker and front camera are still the same as on the Flip6.

One UI 7 runs on the test device, aligning it with the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Z Fold7. Due to NPU limitations, this model may not be able to offer some Galaxy AI features. Although it is unclear whether this prototype will evolve into a commercial product, its similarities to the Z Flip 6 suggest it may be an alternative variant or an early concept.
