Rumors surrounding Google’s upcoming Pixel 9a are gaining momentum, with leaks providing insight into the phone’s pricing, release date, and key specs. According to AndroidHeadlines, the Pixel 9a will start at $499 in the U.S. for the 128GB model, maintaining the same price as its predecessor, the Pixel 8a. However, the 256GB version will be priced at $649, reflecting a $40 increase over the previous model.

The device is expected to launch on March 26, 2025, with pre-orders opening a week earlier on March 19. Renders shared by Twitter user @ACE100xd suggest that the phone will come in four colour options: Obsidian, Porcelain, Iris, and Peony.

In Europe, the Pixel 9a will follow the same timeline, with pre-orders starting on March 19 and general availability on March 26. The 128GB model will be offered in all four colours, while the 256GB version will be available only in Obsidian and Iris. Pricing will be €549 or £499 for the 128GB version, and €649 or £599 for the 256GB variant.

Significant upgrades in the Pixel 9a include a larger 5,100mAh battery, the inclusion of Google’s Tensor G4 processor (the same chip found in the Pixel 9), and a 48MP main camera sensor for improved photography. These enhancements position the Pixel 9a as a strong contender in the mid-range segment. Additionally, a prior report has indicated that all Pixel 9a variants will come bundled with three months of Google One (100GB), YouTube Premium, and six months of Fitbit Premium subscriptions.

While details on pre-order deals or trade-in offers are still unavailable, the Pixel 9a’s competitive pricing and specs suggest it will be a solid and affordable option. Expect more information as the launch date approaches.
