Slated for a February debut, the Oppo Find N5 is generating significant buzz as potentially the world’s thinnest foldable phone and the first to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. This device, alongside the Find X8 Ultra, expected to launch in March in China, is poised to redefine mobile photography with its advanced camera capabilities. Recent leaks on Weibo, including insights from tipster Smart Pikachu, highlight that both the Find N5 and Find X8 Ultra will incorporate a periscope telephoto camera with macro shooting features, allowing for both expansive zoom and intricate close-up details.

Camera upgrade:

The Find N5 is reportedly equipped with three 50-megapixel cameras: a primary lens with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), an ultra-wide lens, and a periscope telephoto lens designed for versatility in various shooting conditions. In contrast, the Find X8 Ultra is expected to elevate this setup further with four 50-megapixel cameras, including a one-inch primary sensor, an ultra-wide lens, and two levels of periscope telephoto lenses (3x and 6x), catering to a broad range of photographic needs from detailed portraits to expansive landscapes.

Meanwhile, the already available Find X8 and X8 Pro feature the Dimensity 9400 chipset, indicating Oppo’s commitment to using cutting-edge technology across its lineup. The Find X8 Ultra will break new ground by incorporating the Snapdragon 8 Elite, signifying a major leap in processing power and efficiency. Also in the pipeline is the Find X8 Mini, equipped with the Dimensity 9400 and expected to launch alongside the Ultra model.

Looking ahead, Oppo is reportedly developing the Find X8S, set to debut in the second quarter with the new Dimensity 9400+ chip, possibly enhancing connectivity and AI capabilities. It’s worth noting that the Find X8 Ultra and X8S might remain exclusive to the Chinese market, aligning with Oppo’s strategy to capitalize on its home advantage in innovation and technology deployment.
