Tipster Abhishek Yadav has indicated that while the Vivo V50 is scheduled for a February release in India, the V50 Pro variant might face a delay. Unlike previous launches where Vivo introduced the standard and Pro models simultaneously, the V50 might initially launch solo, with the Pro variant possibly debuting later.

Speculations suggest that the Vivo V50 could be a rebranded or slightly modified version of the Vivo S20, which was launched in December 2024 in China. The Vivo S20 features a 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and is powered by the same Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. It includes up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
