The highly anticipated Oppo Find N5 foldable smartphone is slated for an official launch in China next month. Promising significant advancements over the Find N3, which was released in 2023, the company has begun hinting at the device’s arrival. However, Oppo has yet to reveal the full design. A leaked image, now circulating on Chinese social media, offers a partial view of the phone’s rear design. Still, much of its appearance remains hidden due to the confidentiality case surrounding it.

The leaked image shows the Find N5 encased in a protective cover, obscuring much of its design. Nevertheless, the phone appears to sport a circular camera module, consistent with the aesthetic of recent Find series models. The module contains three cameras, an LED flash, and a microphone hole.

An IMEI number visible on the back of the phone, 867775079874260, links the device to the model number “PKH120” in the IMEI database. This model was also seen in China’s UFCS database, revealing it has a rated battery capacity of 5,475mAh, likely translating to a typical capacity of about 5,600mAh.

Initially speculated to be the Find X8 Mini, the PKH120 model is now identified as the Oppo Find N5 foldable. Radio certification for this model confirms it will feature satellite connectivity. Another version, the PKH110, will be available without this feature.

For reference, the Find N3 had a 4,805mAh battery and measured 5.8mm thick when unfolded and 11.7mm when folded. Despite the larger battery capacity of approximately 5,600mAh, the Find N5 is anticipated to set a record as the world’s thinnest foldable phone, with an unfolded thickness of around 4mm and a folded thickness under 9mm. Adding to its highlights, the Find N5 will be the first foldable device equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
