The iPhone SE 4 is rumoured to be released in March 2025. The SE model will follow up on the previous generation from 2022. Apple’s 5G modem is also said to be used in the 4th generation SE. With the latest development, the iPhone’s naming may change.
With a mid-range price tag despite having the same performance capabilities as the standard variants, the iPhone SE line is the brand’s entry-level offering.
According to Weibo tipster ‘Fixed focus digital’, Apple may drop the SE branding. It will rename the upcoming model iPhone 16e instead. Apple released three SE-branded phones between 2016 and 2022, starting with the original iPhone SE in 2016.
It will join the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max as the fifth model in the lineup. According to the tipster, the iPhone 16e will have the same screen size and full-screen design as the standard iPhone 16.

The tipster, claims that the iPhone SE 4 will have a 6.06-inch OLED panel. The SE will feature a notch for Face ID and the front camera system, unlike Apple’s iPhone 16. It will run at 60 Hz.
A18 chip powering the device will be the same as in the base & Plus models of the iPhone 16, along with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Apple Intelligence appears to be able to run on the phone with double the RAM from the outgoing model.
The iPhone SE 4 will debut Apple’s first internal modem, which has the codename Centauri and will be manufactured by TSMC. There will be only one camera on the new iPhone SE 4, but the sensor will be upgraded from 12MP to 48MP. There will be a 12MP camera on the front.
It is reported that the phone will come with a 3,279mAh battery, a significant upgrade over the current model’s 2,018mAh. With the screen size reportedly growing to 6.06 inches, the phone will have plenty of room for a larger battery. Unlike its predecessor, the phone will also support MagSafe accessories in addition to 20W wired charging.
According to the leak, the starting price will either be $499 or $549, but the magnitude of the increase is unknown.
