Redmi, Poco, iQOO, Realme are all Chinese sub-brands that cater to different parts of the market. Vivo is working on its next sub-brand after iQOO.

If that sounds familiar, it’s because vivo has been using the name for its AI assistant and other system apps. It looks like Jovi is ready to grow up and become its smartphone brand.

GSMA database records provide the information. Jovi will be used on three upcoming vivo devices. We have the Jovi V50 with the model number V2427, the Jovi V50 Lite 5G with the model number V2440, and the Jovi Y39 5G with the model number V2444.

The Jovi V50 and the upcoming vivo V50 share the same model number, as do the Jovi V50 Lite 5G and the vivo V50 Lite 5G. As a result, it appears that Jovi will simply rebrand existing devices. Most likely, these will only be available in certain markets under the Jovi brand.

Even though the GSMA database is usually very reliable, please remember that plans can change and nothing is official until an announcement. As vivo hasn’t unveiled any of its Jovi phones yet, it may change its mind.
