As Samsung prepares to launch its Fold7 and Flip7 in 2025 with bigger displays, it seems that the Korean company is also planning on taking a major leap afterwards.
DSCC CEO Ross Young predicts a tri-fold Galaxy smartphone will be released in early 2026. An announcement was made on social media by a display supply chain consultant who replied to yesterday’s article. The company does not plan to release a tri-fold display by 2025, and it seems it will focus on regaining lost market share.
Huawei is the only company to date that has manufactured a market-ready tri-fold smartphone, even if quantities are limited. Samsung will launch the new product in early 2026 in response to the rumoured foldable iPhone that may or may not arrive in September 2026. It’s still a while away, so plans might change.
