Samsung’s Galaxy S25+ has resurfaced on Geekbench with impressive results, establishing it as a leading contender for the upcoming Galaxy S25 series. Based on the scores, both the S24+ and base S25 will perform significantly better.
On Geekbench, the Galaxy S25+ scored 3160 in single-core tests and 9941 in multi-core tests. This is a significant improvement over the base Galaxy S25, which scored 2481 and 8658. Samsung’s S25+ even matches Qualcomm’s reference Snapdragon 8 Elite units in terms of performance, indicating the chip’s potential was maximized.
According to Geekbench, the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset clocks in at 4.47GHz—higher than the standard version’s 4.32GHz. Additionally, the Galaxy S25+ features 12 GB of RAM, the same amount as its predecessor, the Galaxy S24+. On January 22 or 23, the S25 series is expected to launch.
In Geekbench, the Galaxy S25+ had previously scored 2359 on single-core tests and 8141 on multi-core tests, powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chipset. Based on these results, the Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered base S25 performs similarly.
There is likely to be a fine-tuning of Samsung’s upcoming devices (with both chips) to achieve balanced power consumption, thermal management, and performance. It should be noted that the Galaxy S25 Ultra has also appeared on Geekbench with varying results, with one listing showing an above-average performance while another showed disappointing results.
