As we gear up for the launch of the next wave of premium Android smartphones, all eyes are on Samsung to introduce their latest Galaxy S25 series, rumoured to be equipped with the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. Although it’s generally anticipated that these flagships will hit the market in 2025, recent information points to a more precise launch window for the Galaxy S25 lineup.
According to insights from The Financial News in South Korea, as shared by Jukanlosreve on X, there’s a buzz about Samsung potentially scheduling its next Galaxy Unpacked event for January 23, 2025, in San Francisco. Speculation is rife that alongside the expected announcements, Samsung might also unveil a new addition to its lineup, the Galaxy S25 ‘Slim’.
Yogesh Brar, known for his leaks, has partially confirmed the speculation by stating that the Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup might be unveiled during the latter part of January 2025.
Launch Date:
Recent leaks from Max Jambor have cast doubt on earlier rumours suggesting an early January 2025 launch for the Samsung Galaxy S25, instead supporting the idea of a launch in the latter part of January 2025. Jambor’s tweet, which simply read “22.1“, has sparked speculation that it might hint at the Galaxy S25 launch date.
This interpretation aligns with reports from South Korea pointing towards a January 23, 2025, release, considering time zone differences for an event scheduled in San Francisco would shift the date to January 22, 2025.
As of now, Samsung has yet to officially announce any launch date for the Galaxy S25 series. However, the company has indicated that the stable version of One UI 7 will be introduced with the “next Galaxy flagship,” with beta testing for One UI 7 on the Galaxy S24 series set to start by the end of 2024. This timeline fits neatly with the speculated launch window for the Galaxy S25 series.
