With the release of Motorola and Nubia’s midrange Flip phones, foldable phones have become more affordable. It appears Samsung will soon offer a cheaper Flip phone as well as Galaxy Z Flip FE.
Samsung will launch a Galaxy Z Flip FE model in 2025, according to Korean blogger yeux1122. A “simultaneous release” is likely, but the leaker could not provide a launch window. It is likely to be released simultaneously with the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
The Galaxy Z Flip FE is yet to be revealed, but we’re guessing that it will have a midrange processor, 128GB of storage instead of 256GB, less RAM, and a less impressive camera.
According to Jukanlosreve on X, Samsung hinted at a cheaper foldable in its Q3 2024 earnings call. It’s unclear how much this cheaper Z Flip model will cost. It wouldn’t surprise us if a future Z Flip FE model matched the $699 price tag of the Motorola Razr 2024.
There are other leaks from yeux1122 as well. According to the Korean tipster, the recently leaked Galaxy S25 Slim could launch in April, along with an additional foldable device. The device hasn’t been revealed in any significant detail.
