Xiaomi unveiled its latest flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi 15 series, along with its Pad 7 series tablets and other devices earlier today. The company also unveiled its latest Android 15-based operating system called HyperOS 2, which connects smartphones, TVs, wearables, cars, and home appliances seamlessly.

Xiaomi HyperCore:

Xiaomi HyperCore is the heart of HyperOS 2, a brand-new system platform. To make devices run faster and more efficiently, Xiaomi has improved how the system handles tasks, manages memory, and processes inputs.

Xiaomi has redesigned how images are processed on the graphics side. Heterogeneous computing splits tasks across different types of processors using a method called heterogeneous computing. Users will experience smoother visuals, especially while playing games or watching videos.

Xiaomi HyperConnect:

While on a call, gaming, or streaming content, Xiaomi’s devices remain connected without sudden drops, thanks to improved Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 5G connections.

Xiaomi HyperConnect is a standout feature that allows different Xiaomi devices to sync easily. Switching between a phone, TV, or smartwatch will be seamless. There is now a 33% improvement in file transfer speed, and a 54% improvement in latency issues, such as delays in signal transmission.

Xiaomi HyperAI:

Using HyperOS 2 is easier and more interactive thanks to new AI-powered tools. Your phone’s dynamic wallpaper changes throughout the day according to your behaviour, and it has a movie-like lock screen that makes your phone look more lively. Also, TVs are getting smart screensavers that update based on your preferences.

Users will be able to enjoy smooth dynamic animations, as well as a 3D dynamic weather system built with a real atmospheric model.

With Super XiaoAi, users can accomplish small but frequent tasks. Personal information can be auto-filled, appointments can be rescheduled, and chores can be completed based on routines. Using Super Xiaoai, you can search across all your devices for specific files or photos.

Furthermore, AI Magic Painting allows users to adjust photos using different styles or make small edits by referencing character poses. AI tools also enhance productivity, including real-time voice-to-text transcription, automatic translations, and gesture-based effects.

The system uses artificial intelligence to detect scam calls and altered videos before they can cause harm to users.

Security:

To ensure devices are protected both at the hardware and software levels, Xiaomi has added chip-based security systems. Users’ information is protected by both cloud and on-device encryption, which ensures strict privacy controls.

Wonderful Desktop 2.0

Using HyperOS 2’s updated Wonderful Desktop 2.0, users can run apps across multiple devices seamlessly. The app can, for instance, be started on a mobile device and finished on a TV or computer without requiring the user to reinstall it.

Xiaomi products can also be connected to Apple devices, such as iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks. Using Xiaomi Internet Service on Apple devices makes it easy to transfer files, open documents, or access Xiaomi’s Mi Desktop.

Users can activate connected home devices with the touch of a finger on smart wearables as well. Controlling smart devices becomes easier and more natural with this feature.

Live-streaming capabilities have been added to HyperOS 2.0. With the Cross-Device Camera 2.0, users can stream video from two devices simultaneously, suitable for activities like gaming, exercising, and teaching online. You can now watch content on your TV while working out or using other apps using picture-in-picture mode.
