On October 29, Xiaomi will launch its 2024 flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro. Both official and unofficial sources are now providing more information about the phones. Now that a company official has shared key internal specifications, the complete design of the devices has been revealed through high-resolution renders.
Xiaomi 15 Pro will feature a 2K display and a 6,100mAh lithium-ion battery with an energy density of 850Wh/L. Moreover, the Pro model weighs just 213g, which is lighter than the 223g Xiaomi 14 Pro.
Battery life has been increased by 38% thanks to this upgrade, according to the company official. Battery capacity for the standard model was not disclosed, but a 23% boost in battery life is promised.
Both Xiaomi’s standard and Pro models feature 3.2x telephoto lenses. Xiaomi 15 Pro, however, will have a 10x lossless zoom, employing a 5x periscope telephoto camera. As an additional aesthetic feature, the Pro model has a curved glass camera deco.
However, the base model still offers robust performance thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and self-developed microarchitecture scheduler. By doing so, Xiaomi claims to have increased task execution efficiency by 19% and reduced application startup response time by 45.7%.
Xiaomi’s base model features a peak brightness of 3,200 nits thanks to custom-made M9 luminous display material, up from 3,000 nits on the Xiaomi 14.
