The next major Android update for OnePlus smartphones will be OxygenOS 15. Among its new features and design changes will be the latest Android 15 version. With the tagline ‘Speed and AI’, OnePlus has revealed the release date for OxygenOS 15. Although the brand has not revealed the roadmap, the flagship lineup is expected to receive the update first.

The OxygenOS 15 update for OnePlus smartphones will be released on October 24th. It was announced on the OnePlus Community platform and will be released in India as well. In a short teaser video shared by OnePlus, the tagline ‘Speed meets AI’ suggests the update will include AI features as well as performance improvements.

Expected Features:

New features, improvements, and design changes will come with OxygenOS 15. The update might include a redesigned control centre inspired by iOS and HyperOS. Besides the two toggles and media player, it will also feature a brightness slider, a volume slider, and two toggles.

You can also customize the new control centre with 1×1 toggles for quick settings to other features. The old design will also be available in OxygenOS 15.

OxygenOS 15 is reportedly also going to have Live Photos and a volume panel similar to iOS. The latest software update even adds a Dynamic Island-style notification panel.

The Never Settle Easter Egg is also said to be returning with OxygenOS 15. To see the Never Settle pop-up, type “1+”, then equal in the calculator app. The new version of OxygenOS 14 is said to move this status bar to the centre, similar to something OnePlus had introduced in OxygenOS 14.

The lock screen in OxygenOS 15 can also be customized with options to change its position, colour, and font. The lock screen might even appear 3D as a result of the depth effect.
