Redmi A4 5G has been officially unveiled at IMC 2024 by Xiaomi. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 mobile platform powers the first smartphone in India. This new device will enhance the entry-level smartphone experience, particularly in the 5G market.
With a price of under Rs 10,000, Xiaomi’s Redmi A4 5G will be an affordable option for consumers looking to transition to 5G.
The Redmi A4 5G was showcased in two colour options and is expected to come with a 50MP rear camera and a secondary camera. The device also retains a 3.5mm audio jack for user convenience.

The new Redmi A4 5G will sport a 6.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with 90Hz. Redmi A3 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 SoC coupled with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB eMMC 5.1 storage. It also gets a microSD card slot.
It features a 50MP main rear camera with LED flash, an auxiliary sensor and an 8MP selfie shooter with an f/2.2 aperture. The device also packs a 5000 mAh battery with 18W charging support.
The connectivity options include Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, Wifi, USB Type-C port, FM Radio, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It runs on Android 14 without any custom skin on top. The device also gets a side-mounted fingerprint scanner this time.
