The Galaxy A16 5G has been unveiled by Samsung, and it offers a few notable upgrades over its predecessor, including a larger 6.7-inch display and six years of Android version updates.

The new Galaxy A16 5G sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The notch carries a 13MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0. On the back, the Galaxy A16 features triple-rear cameras with a 50MP main shooter with f/1.8 aperture, along with a 5MP ultra-wide & 2MP depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 with LED flash.
The Galaxy A16 5G is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC or Exynos 1330 SoC. The device is coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage. It also comes with a dedicated microSD card slot. All this is packed with a 5000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. It supports dual-band AC WiFi, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.3, as well as two stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
It runs on Android 14 with One UI 6.1.1 on top. Further, the device also features a fingerprint scanner on the side. Six major Android updates and six years of security patch support stood out to us most.
This time the Galaxy A16 5G is also IP54 rated making it water-resistant. It measures 164.4 x 77.9 x 7.9mm and weighs around 200 grams, depending on the model. The official Samsung website confirms the Galaxy A16 5G will be available in Blue Black, Light Green, and Light Gray colours.
