There may be something big in store for the flagship Galaxy S line, but not next year. As usual, the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra will be released in January. By giving up on the Galaxy S26 in 2026, the Korean company could significantly change its lineup.

The Samsung flagship tablet line already does something similar. Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra were the only models launched this year, with the ‘vanilla’ model missing. According to a new rumour, the Galaxy S26 series may also be affected in 2026.

As a result, the Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra will be the only Galaxy S26 models to be released (probably in January 2026). According to reports, the move will occur because the base model will no longer be competitive.

A flood of smaller devices with top-of-the-line specs is coming from Chinese brands in the next few months, and the Galaxy S25 may barely survive, but the S26 could be dead if it works out. Remember that Ice Universe, the source of this rumour, is known to exaggerate sometimes, and this may very well be one of those instances.
