Recently, HMD Global, the company behind recent Nokia phones, has focused on budget and mid-range devices. According to leaked specifications, HMD is preparing to re-enter the flagship market with the HMD Moon Knight.
Moon Knight (model TA-1691) is expected to feature a P-OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, but the exact screen size is not known. The device is also likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, which isn’t exactly Qualcomm’s top chip, but is on par with previous years’ flagships like the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The leak did not include details about RAM and storage.
An interesting feature is the rumoured inclusion of POGO pins, which suggests a modular design like the HMD Fusion. A case with added functionality could be attached to this device. Aluminium frames and dual speakers are also expected on the phone.
It’s reported to include a quad-camera setup, and the design may be inspired by the Nokia Lumia. In the meantime, we need to wait for more information and renders to surface.
Additionally, HMD Global is gearing up to launch the HMD Aura 2, the successor to the budget-friendly Aura.
