The Ace 5 series of smartphones is reportedly being developed by OnePlus for the Chinese market. According to a recent Weibo post, the Ace 5 lineup will be announced in China by late December or early January. In today’s leak, the tipster revealed the battery capacities of the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro smartphones on Weibo.
DCS is seen talking about the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 (SM8750) and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (SM8650) phones from OnePlus in the Weibo post above. It is believed that these are the upcoming OnePlus Ace 5 Pro and Ace 5 smartphones. According to the leak, both smartphones will feature a 6500mAh battery with a maximum capacity set between 6,300-6,500mAh and a silicon content of around 10%±.
Both the Ace 5 Pro and Ace 5 will support 100W rapid charging. It is expected that the Pro version’s telephoto lens will use the JN1 sensor. Moreover, the series is expected to have a ceramic build and a flat display.
According to the tipster, the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro and Ace 5 will sport the BOE X2 display with a 1.5K resolution. It is expected that the series will feature a right-angle metal middle frame.
Both devices are expected to have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX9-series primary camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor size. It is also expected that both phones will come with Android 15 based on ColorOS 15.
