The V40e isn’t the only new V40 series device to launch today – the V40 Lite 4G and V40 Lite 5G have also been announced in Indonesia. Aside from the chipsets, you won’t be able to tell the difference between the two Lite variants.

Specs:

The Vivo V40 Lite & V40 Lite 4G sports a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner support. Vivo V40 Lite is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC whereas V40 Lite 4G with SD685 SoC. Both phones have 8GB/12GB RAM and 256GB of storage, which can be expanded further.

 

Vivo V40 Lite & V40 Lite 4G runs on Android 14 with FunTouch OS 14 on top. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 5G, 4G LTE, VoLTE support,  Dual Band Wifi, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and USB Type-C port. It also gets IP64 rated making it dust and water-resistant.

The Vivo V40 Lite series will have a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 2MP depth sensor. Aura ring-LED flash supports temperature control for the rear cameras. For selfies and video chats, there’s a 32MP camera. Vivo’s AI Imaging suite is also included in the new devices, which includes AI Erase, Photo Enhance, and Document scanning.

Both the phone packs a 5000mAh battery with 80W fast charging.

Pricing:

There are three colours available for the V40 Lite 4G: Titanium Silver, Pearl Violet, and Carbon Black. The 8/128GB trim retails for IDR 3,299,000 ($220) and the 8/256GB trim for IDR 3,599,000 ($240).

V40 Lite 5G is available in Titanium Silver and Carbon Black colours. The 8/256GB trim costs IDR 4,299,000 ($285).
