Vivo announced its V40e in India today, as expected. Vivo’s Aura Light portrait technology is integrated into the dual-camera setup on the back of the new device, which follows the design language of the V40 and V40 Pro.
Vivo V40e:
Vivo V40e will sport a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED Curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Featuring 1,300 nits of brightness, 360Hz PWM dimming, and a 93.3% screen-to-body ratio. It measures 7.49mm thick and weighs 183g.
The Vivo V40e is to be powered by Dimensity 7300 SoC. It is coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. The Vivo V40e will come with a 50MP (f/1.89) main sensor with OIS coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide camera with LED flash. Aside from AI Eraser and AI Photo Enhancer, the smartphone will also feature AI Portrait Suite.
This time even the vanilla model will feature single-selfie cameras with a 50MP sensor. It also comes with a Dual-Tone flash. The Vivo V40e packs in a 5500 mAh battery with 80W fast charge support. It runs on Android 14 with FunTouch OS 14 on top. This time the device also gets an IP64 rating making it splash-resistant.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE,5G, VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and USB Type-C port.

With the 8GB + 128GB model priced at Rs. 28,999 and the 8GB + 256GB model priced at Rs. 30,999, the vivo V40e is available in Royal Bronze and Mint Green colours. Customers of SBI and HDFC Bank can get a flat 10% instant discount or a flat 10% exchange bonus.
Starting today, Flipkart, Vivo India’s online store, and offline retailers will start taking pre-orders for the device. It will go on sale on October 2nd.
