On October 9, Mediatek will launch its next flagship chipset. On the Chinese social network Weibo, the Taiwanese company teased “a new generation of Mediatek products.”
According to the post, the new chipset with AI NPU will be called Dimensity 9400 and feature Arm’s Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU.
Dimensity 9400 is expected to have four Cortex-A725 CPU cores running at 2.10GHz, three Cortex-X4 CPU cores running at 2.80GHz, and one Cortex-X925 CPU core running at 3.63GHz. For graphics, the chipset is expected to include Mali-G925 Immortalis MC12.
Vivo and Oppo are rumored to launch the first Dimensity 9400-powered devices. On Oct. 14 in China, the Vivo X200, Vivo X200+, Vivo X200 Pro, and Vivo X200 Pro Satellite Communication Version will debut as the world’s first Dimensity 9400 phones.
It is expected that the Find X8, Find X8 Pro, and Find X8 Pro Satellite Communication Version will hit the market on Oct. 21. Vivo X200 Ultra and Oppo Find X8 Ultra are likely to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipsets.
During the fourth week of October, Qualcomm is expected to unveil its chip. Xiaomi 15 series is expected to be the world’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 phone.
