Digital Chat Station revealed the gaming abilities of the iPhone 16 Pro in a recent Weibo post. The A18 Pro chipset in the iPhone was tested against the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Dimensity 9300+ in Genshin Impact tests.
Apple’s A18 Pro appears to be more efficient, despite its preliminary results. The A18 Pro was able to maintain a consistent 60fps frame rate while consuming significantly less power than the other chipsets. Compared to the 8 Gen 3’s 5.81 watts and 9300+’s 5.61 watts, the A18 Pro used 4.05 watts.
It does not end there, however. In addition to thermal imaging, the post reveals a surprising detail: rival models appear to be prototypes. In these images, the camera modules are blurred out, suggesting that these are unannounced phones.
It is still possible to make some sense out of the images despite the blurry camera modules. One of the prototypes’ camera housings looks similar to that of the iQOO Z9 Turbo, hinting at the possibility of a Turbo+ model powered by the Dimensity 9300+.
OnePlus 12 or its Ace 3 Pro variant uses a round camera module, as does the other prototype. There’s a bit of a tweak to the design here. As with recent OnePlus flagships, the camera module lacks frame-side accents.
There are rumours that the Ace 5 will launch with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and be branded as the 13R for global markets. According to previous rumours, the Ace 5’s display is flat as well.
