We expect at least two vivo X200 phones – a vanilla and a Pro version – to arrive on October 14. The company today shared the first camera sample from the telephoto shooter, revealing a brighter aperture than the predecessor.
According to Vivo’s product manager, the image was taken at 10x zoom without clarifying whether it was an optical or hybrid magnifier. Even after the heavy Weibo compression, the photo looks impressive.
Previously, it was reported that the camera would feature a new 50 MP Sony IMX882 sensor and an f/2.57 lens. In addition to being a 70 mm equivalent, it will also be a macro shooter, according to Digital Chat Station. According to the leakster, 10x zoom is achieved through digital zoom.
There will be a 50 MP Sony IMX921 sensor in the main camera, which measures 1/1.56″ in size and has an f/1.57 aperture. Likewise, the ultra-wide-angle snapper will have a 50 MP sensor, but it will be a Samsung ISOCELL JN1.
It is expected that the vivo X200 series will have a Dimensity 9400 chipset from Mediatek, even though Qualcomm is expected to introduce Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 around the same time.
However, the improved energy efficiency of Mediatek’s platforms should allow them to compete on the international market.
